Privacy Policy

Introduction
Autism Parent Resources (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit autismparentresources.org. We have written this policy to be plain and accurate. If anything is unclear, please contact us using the email address at the bottom of this page.
Information We Collect
We try to collect as little information as possible. The only personal information we collect directly is what you choose to share with us:
Contact Form: When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the subject line you choose, and the message you write. This information is sent to our email inbox so we can read and reply.
We also receive limited information automatically when you visit, as is standard for any website:
Server and Security Logs: When you visit a page, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) automatically receives your IP address, browser type, and the page you requested. This information is used to deliver the site to you and to detect malicious traffic. It is not used to build advertising profiles.
Privacy-Respecting Analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which articles are most read. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not track visitors across sites. We do not use Google Analytics or any other cross-site tracking service.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies for advertising, tracking, or analytics. The only cookies that may be set on your device are strictly necessary for security and bot protection, set by Cloudflare to keep the site safe from automated abuse. These cookies are short-lived and contain no personal information. They are exempt from consent requirements under most privacy frameworks because they are essential for site security.
If you want to block all cookies, you can do so in your browser settings without losing any functionality on this site, though Cloudflare’s security challenges may appear more often.
How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information we collect only for these purposes:
To Reply to You: Contact form submissions are used to respond to your message. Nothing more.
To Understand What Helps Readers: Aggregate, anonymous page-view statistics from Cloudflare Web Analytics help us see which articles are useful so we can focus our writing.
To Keep the Site Safe: Server logs and Cloudflare security signals help us block spam, scrapers, and attacks.
Service Providers We Use
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. As is standard for any modern website, delivering this site to you involves a small number of service providers:
Cloudflare provides hosting, content delivery, analytics, and security (including bot protection) for this website.
SMTP2Go delivers the email notifications generated by our contact form to our inbox.
Email hosting. Contact form messages are read in a standard third-party business email service.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect our legal rights.
Third-Party Links
Our website contains a link to a separate merchandise website, quietloudcreations.com, which is operated separately. This Privacy Policy applies only to autismparentresources.org. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit.
Your Rights and Choices
You can contact us at webmaster@autismparentresources.org to request a copy of any personal information we have about you, or to ask us to delete it. Because we do not maintain user accounts or mailing lists, in practice the only personal information we hold about most visitors is the contents of any contact form messages they have sent us.
You can configure your browser to block cookies and disable JavaScript at any time. The site will continue to function for reading articles.
Data Security
All traffic to this website is encrypted using HTTPS, with HTTP Strict Transport Security enabled. API keys and credentials for the services listed above are stored as encrypted environment variables in our hosting provider’s vault, never in our source code. We use Cloudflare’s edge security features, including bot protection and a Web Application Firewall, to defend against common attacks.
Children’s Privacy
This website is written for parents and caregivers of autistic children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our contact form, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will also post a notice on the site.
Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us or email us at webmaster@autismparentresources.org.
